April is Poetry Month

In our class we have read poems about seasons, weather, kites, and more! Students were given the April edition of Time for Kids (TFK) Magazine featuring Kenn Nesbitt. He is the judge for TFK's poetry contest. The magazine features four hilarious poems that were chosen out of 2,100 that were submitted. For a homework assignment I asked students to write their own poem. I think these could be contest winners! Let us know what you think.
